  	KITTERY, Maine - Maryann L. McKay, 84, formerly of Londonderry, N.H., died Oct. 4, 2012. Maryann "Mimi" was born on Oct. 14, 1927, in Omaha, Neb., the only daughter of the late Gilbert C. and Ruth (Cattin) Loomis. Maryann was a graduate of the University of Nebraska and a member of Delta Gamma sorority. Maryann is remembered by family and friends for being a lovely looking woman with a wicked sense of humor. Maryann retired from many years of work at Jordan Marsh to enjoy her later years traveling with family and friends to Italy, France and England. She also spent many summers on Wellesley Island in the St. Lawrence River. Maryann loved the beach and loved antiquing with her family and collecting "geegaws", mostly antique Italian and French pottery. Maryann loved all sports and was a devoted Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots fan. Maryann was a wonderful cook and her holiday meals will always be missed. She will be remembered always for being strong, fun-loving, a good and faithful wife, a wonderful and generous "Nana" and a loving mother. She is survived by two daughters, Sally Manninen and her husband, Garrick of Cape Neddick, Maine; Anne McKay and her husband, Paul Czarnowski of Weymouth, Mass.; a grandson, Michael McKay of Crested Butte, Colo. and a son, Bruce L. McKay and his wife, Patricia, of Charlotte, N.C. A daughter, Amy McKay, predeceased her in 1966. Maryann had an older brother, Dr. George Loomis of Omaha who predeceased her. She is survived by her niece Patty Loomis and nephews George Jr., Charlie and David Loomis. The family wishes to thank all Mimi's doctors and caregivers who helped make her final years battling Parkinson's as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Special thanks to Lynn Casciotti.
