- Dorothy J. Martin, age 96, of Sunbury, Ohio and formerly of Ashley passed way on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 2:22 AM in the Grady Memorial Hospital, Delaware. She was born in Marion, Ohio on November 26, 1925 to the late Howard E. and Mildred L.(Drollinger) Martin. She was a past member of the Red Hat Society. Dorothy was employed as an operator for GTE for over 40 years before her retirement in 1984. Following her retirement, Dorothy was employed for 10 years as a greeter at the Delaware Kroger store.
Surviving are two nephews, Scott (Jackye) Cluff of Ashley, OH. & Craig (Marsha) Cluff of Delaware, OH., a niece, Robyn (Scott) Boden of southern Ohio, six great nieces & nephews, sixteen great great nieces & nephews, and four great great great nieces & nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Cluff who passed in 2014. A graveside service will be held in the Marion Cemetery on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 2:00 PM. The funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home shortly before 2:00 PM. Rev. Nathan McBeth will be conducting the service. Donations in Dorothy's name may be given to Ohio Health Hospice.
