Catharine Isely vs.
The heirs at law of Balser Isely decd.
It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court the four of the defendants
Jacob Isely, David Isely, Adam Trolinger and wife Hannah, Jacob Cline
and wife Catharine, are not inhabitants of the State, it is ordered...that
publication be made in the Greensborough Patriot for six weeks of
the pendency of this suit..., John M. Logan, C.C.C.

To the worshipful justices of Guilford County,
The petition of Cathrine Isely,
vs.
Peter Isely, Christian Isely, Jacob Isely, Balser
Isely, David, Isely, Philip [aka Phillip] Isely, Jacob Cline &
Wife Cathrine, Adam Trollinger & Wife Hannah,
Danl Kockelreece & Wife Philipena [aka Phillipena, Phebe], Henry Whitsell
& Wife Molly, John Cordon [aka Carden/Cardin] & Wife Polly, Cathrine
Whitt, Patsy Whitt, John Whitt, Edward Whitt,
Saml Whitt & Susan Whitt, by their Guardian Wm
M. Gogan Pendenteth [?], for the last five.
Humbly, Complaining Sheweth into your worship that Balser
Isely [aka Isley, Iseley] late of this County died intestate in February 1839,
leaving your petitioner his widow & relict him
surviving -- that he was signer and possessed of the tract of
land on which he resided at the time of his death
containing about Two Hundred Acres adjoining Wm.
Cobb, Benjamin Ross, Conrad Shepherd & others, Which
land decended to the following Children and Grandchildren
his heirs at law ~ To Wit ~
1 his Son Peter Isely
2 " " Christian Isely
3 " " Balser Isely
4 " " Phillip Isely
5 " Daughter Phillipena Married to Danl Kockelreece [aka Kachelriess, Cocklereece, Reece], Orange
6 " Daughter Molly Married to Henry Whitsell [aka Whitesell], Orange
7 " " Betseys Children, She having married Wm
Whitt [aka Witt]& died before the intestate leaving the following
Children & heirs, To Wit, Polly, married John
Cordon, Cathrine Whitt, Patsey Whitt, John
Whitt, Edward Whitt, Saml Whitt & Susan Whitt
the last five of them are under age and reside
in this County. ~ His Sons - Jacob Isely
David Isely ~ Daughters Hannah Married to
Adam Trollinger, & Cathrine Married to Jacob Cline [aka Klein] ~
The last Four Children reside beyond the limits
of this State. She prays that She may have Dower
assigned to her according to law & that all proper
process issue & order & decree be made that shall be deemed
just & right and She will ever pray~
