Donald F. Trullender, 75, Altoona, died early Sunday morning at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.
He was born in Altoona, son of Donald A. and Geraldine C. (Homer) Trullender. He married Mary J. Eubanks on Oct. 21, 1990, in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife; four children: Lori A. Abram and fiance, Mark Gates, of Altoona, Renee M. Brunner and husband, Bill, of Duncansville, Shelly Ivory and fiance, Ryan, of Altoona and Andrew L. Kerr and wife, Deborah, in Florida; seven grandchildren: Bryant, Kirsten, Jayden, Aubrey, Trenton, Zane and Benjamin; a sister, Beverly J. Bumgarner of Altoona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Candace L. Forlina.
He was a member of First Church of Christ, Juniata Gap. He retired from Morgan Sign Co. in Altoona and previously was employed at Conrail and currently was working part time at the Altoona Mirror. He was an original member of the Fabulous Flashbacks for 23 years.
Don enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing saxophone and spending time with his family.
A memorial service to celebrate Don's life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011, at First Church of Christ, 113 Good Shepherd Road, Juniata Gap, officiated by Pastor John Collins. The family will also receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Blair County Unit, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
