  According to Betty (Lee's daughter-in-law, married to Earl James Drollinger), Lee's middle name was Horace, which he absolutely hated, so much so that he legally had it changed simply to the letter "H"! She said that Lee only had three children, all boys: Earl James, Ralph Eugene and Howard Lee.
