Don is survived by his children:Janice Panus (Jim), Cindy Wood (Richard), Jennifer Jordan (Todd), PamJohnson (Charlie), Michelle Jones (Rod), Chuck Naylor (Anna); 18grandchildren; and 3? great grandchildren; and dear family friend,Chris Carver. Don was a member of the 1951 graduating class ofNortheast High School and earned his BS in Aeronautical Engineeringfrom Kansas University in 1955.? He was a lifelong member of the BoyScouts of America.? He owned and operated Gates Combustion Service,Inc., until his retirement in 2008. A celebration of life will be heldon Thursday, January 19, 2012. ?A visitation with the family willbegin at 1 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m., atFloral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO.
