- Mrs. Leroy Brink Dies At Hospital
Mrs. Bertha Brink, 72, 1428 Atchison Street, died shortly before noon today at the Atchison hospital where she was admitted Monday.
She was the wife of Leroy (Roy) Brink, retired construction superintendent and well known Atchison sportsman.
She was born at Clarksdale, Mo., July 1, 1903, a daughter of Harlo J. and Addie Parker Sumner. She moved as a child with her parents to WaKeeny, and later to Whiting and to Farmington.
Mrs. Brink completed her schooling at Farmington and on Oct, 2, 1924, she and Mr. Brink were married at the home of her parents at Farmington.
Mr. and Mrs. Brink celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1974.
She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Atchison, and was devoted to her religion and family.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Clinton (Lila Irene) McCullough, Lancaster; a sister, Miss Alice Sumner, 1430 Atchison Street; a brother, Arthur Sumner, Lancaster; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The body is at the Stanton Mortuary with the funeral arrangements pending.
