Notes - Mary Virginia Hooper, 77, formerly of Mountain Home, died peacefully in her sleep at Walter Knox Memorial Hospital in Emmett, Idaho, on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, surrounded by her family.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at the Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah Street, Boise. Interment took place at the Dry Creek Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Relyea Funeral Chapel.
Mary was born in Fairfield, Okla., on Nov. 28, 1926.
Mary enjoyed fishing, reading, bingo and crocheting afghans. She lived several years in Mountain Home and Boise.
She is survived by: her children, Candy Turnbull, Linda Leihy, Angus Hooper, Jr., and Pauline Marten; bothers Jack and Bob Whitehead; and sisters Bonnie Boyd and Cherry Lambert; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by: her husband of 47 years, Angus Hooper, Sr.; parents Jep and Ellen Whitehead; sister Betty Jean Richardson; and two brothers, Jep Whitehead, Jr., and Homer Bishop.
