- FACULTY AND CLASSES TAKE ACTION
Because of the death ol (of) Gayl Shaw last week, the members of the High School faculty and officers of the four classes drafted following resolutions and presented a copy to Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Shaw, parents of the dead boy.
That the classes should voluntarily make such a pledge shows the deep effect the death of their classmate made upon their minds.
We believe this action is wisely taken and the parents of Gayl Shaw can feel that their son's untimely death has not been entirely in vain.
TO MR. AND MRS. G. H. SHAW
In rememberance (remembrance) of, and out of the love and respect we have for your dear boy, our classmate and friend, we voluntarily make the following pledge:
"We the officers and representatives of the underclasses of the Decatur County High School, do hereby resolve and pledge that throughout the rest of our stay in the Decatur County High School we shall defer from and labor to prevent any and all class activities that may endanger the limb or life of any member of the school.
