Obituary for Mildred Frayer
Mildred I. Frayer, 85, of Vandergrift, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, in her residence. Born Oct. 22, 1931, in Natrona Heights, she was a daughter of the late Walter James and Caroline Williamson Beers. She did work with the St. Jude's Research and the ASPCA animal charity fund. She also enjoyed cats and dogs and spending time with her family. Survivors include a sister, Patricia Beers, of Leechburg; two daughters, Victoria Bailey and Caroline (Jim) Markle, both of Vandergrift; five sons, Eugene Frayer, of Indiana, Gary (Karen) Frayer, of Erie, Dan Frayer, Sr, of Gilpin Township, Ron (Elsie) Frayer, of lower Burrell, and Danial Frayer, Jr, of Kiski Township; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eugene Frayer, Sr.; two sons, Terry and Dave Frayer; and a brother, Walter Beers, Sr. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the DUNMIRE-KERR AND ROWE FUNERAL HOME INC, 244 Franklin Ave, Vandergrift, until time of service at 8 p.m, with Pastor James Arter officiating. Notes - Patricia Jean Beer, 79, formerly of Leechburg, passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot. She was born March 20, 1939, in New Kensington, a daughter of the late Ellsworth "Suss" Beer and Charlotte M. (Pfier) Beer. Patricia was a homemaker and member of Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg, where she participated in the church choir and WELCA, as well as serving as an acolyte and worship assistant. She was a member of the Leechburg Community Choir, the Leechburg Museum and Historical Society and the "Holy Hikers" Relay for Life team from her church. Patricia volunteered at the Leechburg Food Bank and the Meals on Wheels in Kepple Hill. She enjoyed listening to music, watching TV and working at the food bank.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Beer; and sisters, Irene Frayer and Rose Bruner; and an infant sister, Marsha Beer.
Friends will be welcomed by her family from 10 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 Main St., Leechburg, with Pastor Ryan Pusch officiating.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 620 Evergreen Road, Gilpin Township. Arrangements have been entrusted to the CLAWSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.
