	Mrs. Mamie Emmons, 79, of 3045 Hilldale rd., died at 5:10 a.m., Wednesday in Community Hospital following two years of failing health and five days of serious illness. She was born Nov. 14, 1891, in Evansville, Ind., the daughter of Swonte and Teresa Drulinger Swedenburg and had resided here for the past 51 years. Mrs. Emmons was a member of the Fifth Lutheran Church. Her husband, Fred B., preceded her in death in 1961. A son Fred L. Emmons was killed in action in World War II. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mary Martin, Mrs. Mildred Cox, Mrs. Virginia McFann and Miss Emma Emmons, all of Springfield; five sons, Gilbert, Robert, Willard, John, all of Springfield, and Paul of Clifton; 13 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Her body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home.
