  Eldon D. Stowell: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice Herald-Palladium, The (St. Joseph, MI) - Thursday, September 28, 2000 HARTFORD -- Eldon D. Stowell, 75, of Lake Placid, Fla., formerly of Hartford, passed away Monday evening, Sept. 25, 2000, at Lake Placid. Mr. Stowell was born Aug. 20, 1925, in Coloma. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1942, and served in World War II, Pacific theater as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy. He was general manager of Cook Heating and Air Conditioning for 43 years and was a member of BPOE No. 2661. Eldon was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty; son, David; daughter-in-law, Adrienne; three grandsons -- Travis, Brian and Jeff; and a great-grandson, Hayden. Private services were held
