He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Veedersburg. He was retired from the Town of Veedersburg Utility Department.
Surviving are: four step-daughters, Lillie Morgan, Veedersburg, Mary Smotherman and Roberta Myers, both of Murray, Kentucky, Linda Dockins, Jacksonville, Florida; a grandson, John Hendon, Crawfordsville, whom they raised; a sister, Lydia Rhodes, Veedersburg; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Funeral services were held at the First Church of Nazarene at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Edwin Retter officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, in charge of arrangements." ? Star Tribune, Attica, Indiana, August 30, 1991
