Elsie G. Helms
PARK HILLS -- Elsie Helms, 90, formerly of Park Hills, passed away thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at Southbrook Nursing Center.
Helms was born July 13, 1913, at Desloge, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Craig and Mattie Williams Craig; her first husband, Noah Sumpter; her second husband, Arson Helms; two children, Paula Helms and Monroe Sumpter.
She is survived by children, Dolores Dalton of Farmington; Darrell Sumpter of Park Hills; Billy and wife Betty Sumpter of Arnold, MO; Udal and wife Gladys Sumpter of Farmington, MO; Sam and wife Donna Helms, Park Hills; also daughter-in-law Jesse Sumpter of Bismarck, MO; very special friend, Judy Byington of Park Hills, MO; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren. Friends and other relatives also survive.
Visitation will be after 4:30 p.m. at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home. Services for Elsie Helms will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Horton-Wampler Chapel, with Rev. Irvin Hamman. Burial will be at the Oddfellow Cemetery.
