Sklarcik Jr., she is survived by granddaughter, Suzette Coates and husband John; great grandson, Colin Coates; great granddaughter, Sarah Coates and great great granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Coates. She graduated from Pottstown High School in 1944 and retired to Venice after a distinguished career at Bell Telephone in Pottstown. Shirley enjoyed a very fulfilling retirement traveling the world, and while at home, always in the presence of cherished friends. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Pottstown.
