- Lona Lee McCullough, 96, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
She and her twin sister, Lola, were born Nov. 19, 1909, in Hollis to William E. and Phoebe Little Trolinder. She married Robert Augustus "Gus" McCullough on Oct. 5, 1929, in Hollis. She was a gifted singer who loved to attend singing conventions. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hollis.
She is survived by a daughter, Maxine and husband Gene Reid of Idalou; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Joel Trolinder of Fresno, Calif.; and one sister, Lucille Bradley of Lubbock.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; son-in-law, Glenn D. Wall; six brothers; and five sisters.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at White Funeral Home in Idalou.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Idalou with the Rev. Jim Irwin officiating and James Willborn and Dustin McEwen assisting.
Graveside services and Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis.
