- Jo Ann S. Rounsley, 81, of Easton, died November 25, 2009 in VNA Hospice of St. Lukes. Born in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Nelson and Harriet Swartz Rounsley. She was graduated from Easton High School in 1946 and received a bachelors degree from Chatham College and a masters degree from Harvard University.
She taught in Harrisburg and was a teacher in the Easton Area School District from 1954 until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of College Hill Presbyterian Church, Easton and the National Education, Pennsylvania State Education and Easton Teachers Associations. She was a member of the Easton branch of the American Association of University Women serving on the board as publicity and student scholarship chair and was selected as a named grant honoree.
She was a former member of the Easton Junior Womans Club serving as hospitality and by-laws chairperson. She had articles published in education journals and enjoyed reading and traveling. She visited 25 nations as well as many sections of the United States. Survivors: She is survived by several cousins.
