- Cecelia "Celia" Drollinger, 98, of Wisconsin Dells passed away peacefully Saturday, May 9, 2009 at St. Clare Meadows in Baraboo.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Dells with the Rev. Craig Wolfgram officiating. Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery in Wisconsin Dells. Visitation will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Celia was born Aug. 26, 1910 in Wisconsin Dells, the daughter of Ebenezer and Sarah (nee Jerome) Morse. In June 1930 she married Ronald Drollinger in Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death in March 1959. Celia worked at various places in the Dells area and finally retired at the age of 83. Most of her employment was as a waitress working for her close friends at the Badger Restaurant, Del Bar, Steak and Stein, and Fischers. Celia enjoyed playing bridge, bowling and singing. Her two greatest loves were music and animals.
Celia is survived by a son, Jacob M. (Leah) Drollinger of Milwaukee; daughters, Anne Drollinger of Middleton, Barbara Jean Drollinger of Wisconsin Dells and Shari (Larry) Haugen of Dodgeville; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Clint, Howard, Jack and Delbert; and sisters, Mary Jensen, Ann Slocum and Bertha Blount.
Memorials of remembrance may be directed to Bethany Lutheran Church or to St. Clare Meadows.
