TOCSIN WOMAN CLAIMED BY DEATH - Mrs. W.D. Plummer Dies After LongPeriod of Failing Health
Mrs. Tida Ellen Plummer, 63, wife of William D. Plummer, died at 2:30p.m. Tuesday at her home in Tocsin. She had been in poor health thepast five weeks. Mrs. Plummer was born in Jefferson township, Wellscounty, on June 12, 1879, a daughter of Cornelius and Angeline RoopJones. Her marriage to William D. Plummer took place on Dec. 24, 1896.
She was a member of the Tocsin United Brethren church and was acharter member of the Pythian Sisters lodge at Tocsin
Surviving besides the husband are three daughters and a son, Mrs. MyrlBarger, of Decatur; Mrs. Edna Wasson, of Fort Wayne; Mrs. AlmaJackson, of Fort Wayne; and Earl A. Plummer, of Fort Wayne; twograndchildren Wayne and Donald Barger of Decatur; a sister, Mrs. T.M.Hall, of Tocsin; and a brother, Paris D. Jones, of Ossian. A brotherWilliam Jones, is deceased.
The body was removed to the McBride funeral home and will be taken tothe residence at Tocsin this afternoon.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Tocsin UnitedBrethren church in charge of Rev. Charles Moore. Burial will be in theElm Grove cemetery.
