Frank J. Forlina, 60, Altoona, died Saturday at Altoona Regional Health System, Bon Secours Hospital Campus.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late John J. and Anna (Russo) Forlina. He married Candace Trullender. She died Jan. 25, 2005.
Surviving are two daughters: Misty Forlina and fiance, Kurt, and Michelle Auker and husband, David, all of Altoona; five grandchildren: Madison, Justin, Dylan, Destinee and Devon; two sisters: Faith Bartley and husband, Greg, and Dee Bowman and husband, Jack, all of Altoona; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Forlina was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
He had been employed as a tower operator for Norfolk Southern Railroad.
Mr. Forlina was a 1964 graduate of Altoona High School and was a graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a sergeant during the Vietnam era.
Mr. Forlina enjoyed spending time with his family, working on crossword puzzles and was an avid Steelers fan.
He was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society, Catholic War Veterans and Cesare Battisti Club.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, April 10, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church by the Rev. James F. Crookston. Committal at Alto-Reste Park.
