Notes - Henry Seas, a Marion school teacher, joined the 82nd Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry in November of 1861. He was wounded at Gettysburg and had his right leg amputated above the knee. He died a few days later on July 17, 1863. His coat is on display at the Marion County Historical Society as a part of the Civil War Exhibit, which runs through December.
