- BURLINGTON - Julia Dickey Faucette, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family.
She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late William Millard Faucette.
Julia retired from the Alamance County School System and was a home care sitter for shut-ins for many years. She was a member of Carolina Christian Church and the Lady's Sunday School class, and also a member of The Heart Seniors Fellowship. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie F. Perry and her husband, Linwood, of Forest City; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Kenneth Ray Faucette; great-great-grandson, Joshua Quintin Faucette; and her parents, Ernest Robert Dickey and Cora Trollinger Dickey.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, at Carolina Christian Church by the Rev. Mark Mitchell and the burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
