Mrs. Alice Sikkema, aged 82, of Grand Rapids, passed away at the Christian Rest Home Friday morning. She is survived by her husband, Henry; her children, Ellen and Ted Whip of Anchoage, Alaska; Annette and Melvin Folkert of San Diego, California, Gertrude and Harold J. Yonker of Kentwood, Harriet Brooks and Joanne and Richard Buzekom, both of Phoenix, Arizona, Henry Jr., and Marian Sikkema of Concord, Massachusetts. Alfred Jay and Janice Sikkema of Kansas City, Missouri; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Sikkema. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Beckwith Hills Christian Reformed Church, Rev. John Joldersma officiating. Interment Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Sikkema reposes at the DeVries Funeral Home, 1204 Eastern SE where relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beckwith Hills Christian Reformed Church Memoral Fund. A service by DeVries-Kuiper-DeGraaf.
