- JENNINGS, KENNETH "KEN" FOREE, age 73, left this world for the arms of the Lord on January 11, 2004 bringing to a close a twento-one(21) year, battle with heart disease. Born in Ft. Worth, Tx to Joseph Foree Jennings and Margaret Trollinger Jennings, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Doris Jennings of Lakeside Village, Tx, One Sister and husband JoAnne and Jim Arnold, also of Lakeside Village, Children, Bobby Jennings of Duncanville, Tom VanHoose and wife Kim of Highwood, Montana, Judy Rotolo and husband Al of Rockwall, Diane Natenstedt and husband Rob of Reno, Nevada. He has 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. Ken spent 50 years in Dallas residing in Oak Cliff until 1980. He Graduated from Sunset High in 1948 and was a member of the "Elmwood Bunch". An Air Force National Guard officer and Air Force Reserve veteran, Ken retired from Vought Aircraft Industries. Throughout his life Ken was active in civic/community leadership roles including Boy Scouts, Oak Cliff area J.C.Js, Executive 100 Council, Church and volunteer fire dept. activities. Visitation will be at Lawson Funeral Home on Tuesday January 13, 2004 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be at the Zion United Church in Clifton, Tx on Wednesday January 14, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. followed by a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Happy Hill Farms Academy 3846 N. Hwy 144, Grandbury, Tx 76048, Zion United Church, Building Fund, 1411 FM 219, Clifton, Tx 76634-4636, Lakeside Volunteer Fire Dept., or charity of your choosing.
