      Linda L. Newcaster, 52, of Center Township died at 9:53 p.m. Tuesday at her home.

      She was the owner of Crawford Jewelers on Main Street and was a third generation jeweler at the family store which was established in 1924.

      Born in Butler, June 2, 1949, she was the daughter of Dalano A. "Pete" and Martha Painter Crawford.

      Mrs. Newcaster was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, the Soroptimists and GFWC Women's clubs.

      She is survived by her husband, Edward A. Newcaster, whom she married May 10, 1969; two daughters, Mrs. Perry F. (Amy) Petricca and Mrs. Anthony (Kimberly) Letizio; and a sister Beverly Balint. A grandaughter, two neices and three nephews also survive.
