- Mrs. Daisy Emma Durrett Cecil 85, of 420 Floyd Avenue, Pulaski died early Saturday morning at her home.
Born Sept. 15, 1900 in Max Meadows, she was the daughter of the late William Wirt Durrett and Josephine Adams Durrett.
She was a member of the Bob White Boulevard Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kyle Montvale Cecil.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Hall and a son Dennie Duncan.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. James R.(Helen) Hall Pulaski, Mrs. Dale (Mary) Haggerty, Richmond, Mrs. Paul (Helen) Sanders, Baltimore, Md., Amaryllis Duncan, Pulaski, and Mrs. Graham(Bobbie) Gregory, Fayetteville, N.C.; two sons, Elmer K. (Boyd) Cecil, Pulaski, and Wayne Cecil, Dublin; two sisters, Mrs. Edna McGarvey, Chillicothe, Ohio and Mrs. Beulah Johnson, Richmond, Va.; 26 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren and 28 great, greatgrandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Edgar O'Dell officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Dublin. Visiting will be anytime this afternoon and the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the Bower Funeral Chapel Pulaski.
