- Dalene McMinn, 92, of Abilene, died Friday, December 12, 2014 in Tahoka, Texas.
The daughter of the late Ora Ethel Trolinder and M.O. "Ott" McMinn, Dalene was born on September 28, 1922 in Childress, Texas. She was a 1939 graduate of Vernon High School and attended West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. She worked as an insurance agent for Payne Bently Ellis. She was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Abilene.
Dalene is survived by cousins, Fred Bradley of Lubbock, TX, Donna Briscoe of Red Oak, TX, and Maxine Reid of Idalou, TX, and numerous friends, including Fred and Glenna Engle, Maurice and Charlene McLeod, Jim and Lisa Barela, Harold and Glynell Hughes and Kathryn Morrison, all of Abilene.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Anson, Texas.
