- James Mathew Dickerson "Nickman", 57, transitioned on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, NC. James was the son of the late Minnie Lee Dickerson and James Trollinger.
James was a member of Children's Chapel United Church of Christ in Graham, NC where Reverend Rodney K. Foxx is the Pastor. James was a member of the male choir and also sang with the Celebration Singers. He was also loved by all who knew him.
James took every opportunity to entertain with singing and dancing, often becoming the life of the party. He was an enthusiastic fan of all sporting events at Graham Middle School and Graham High School. He knew all the basketball and foot ball players who lived in the neighborhood and could tell you if they were ?any good? . He was so committed to the Graham Middle School Football team that he was self-appointed coach and was given a jersey by the head coach, to wear during the games.
James was preceded in death by his mother: Minnie Lee Dickerson, father: James Trollinger, and brothers: David Lee Dickerson and William Dickerson. Left to cherish his memories is his sister and caregiver: Judy Nicholson of Graham, Nancy Dickerson of Greensboro, Loretta (Charles) Jenkins of Graham, Joanne (Emanuel) Cohn) of Burlington, Carol Lee Trollinger of Hillsborough and brothers: Thomas Mueed of Atlanta, Daniel (Lillian) of Graham and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
