- Marvin Alan Hammers, 78, of Rockport, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.
Marvin was born in Pacific, Missouri on October 20, 1944, to the late Lloyd and Pearl (Schmett) Hammers.
Marvin was a superintendent with Empire Contractors for many years. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, golf, and NASCAR.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Zora Mae Riggs, and Thomas Hammers.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna Hammers of Rockport, IN; Children, Alan Hammers and (Neetie) of Rockport, IN; Kristie Burroughs of Evansville, IN; Grandchildren, Whitney Hammers, Courtney Meece and (Jacob), Jake Hammers and (Jessica), Emily Cox and (Mason), and his great grandchildren, Jaci, Molli, Noah, Vada, Juliette, Violet, Jameson; Brothers, Stephen Hammers and Bill Hammers along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Services are 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana.
Visitation is from 12 P.M. until 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at the funeral home.
