Mrs. Joe Thompson passed away at the Bonne Terre Hospital Thursday morning at six o'clock after almost eight days of critical illness and pain from injuries sustained when she was burned last week at her home.
Louisa Jane Thompson nee Trollinger, daughter of Absalome and Carolyn Trollinger was born in the state of Tennessee, February 7, 1852. She was, at the time of her death, 82 years and 2 months old. When but a small child her parents moved to Missouri and the remaining portion of her life was spent in this state. She was united in marriage to Mr. Joseph Thompson May 18, 1891. She was mother of Mrs. F.F. O'Donnell, Denver, Colorado; Mrs. R. Edwards, St. Louis; and Mrs. Ben Harris, of Bonne Terre. Mrs. Thompson was one of a family of ten children. So far as we have information only two sisters survive her, namely, Mrs. Clara Wigger, Donnigan, Mo., and Mrs. M.S. Kirkpatrick, of Bonne Terre. Besides these two sisters she is survived by the husband, three daughters, and twelve grandchildren.
The funeral services will be conducted from the Church of Christ Friday, April 6th, at two o'clock, with L.E. Ketcherside and J.H. Mabery officiating. Interment will be made at Bonne Terre Cemetery Benham Service.
