- Terry Trollinger, 54, passed away peacefully in his home on Sept. 24, surrounded by his family. Terry courageously fought a four-year battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, June (Bolen) Trollinger, sons Justin and Brian Trollinger of Yellow Springs, daughter Christine (Bruce) Rodgers of Dayton, father Marvin Trollinger of Yellow Springs, sister Kathie (Harold) Jackson and brother David (Beverly) Trollinger of Springfield, sister-in-law Kay Trollinger of Yellow Springs, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Terry also had a host of friends and the loving spiritual support of many people.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Mary Lou Trollinger, and one brother, Douglas Trollinger.
Terry lived his whole life in Yellow Springs and had numerous jobs from pumping gas at the Marathon station, to a cook at the Apple Tree Restaurant in Xenia and the last 22 years at Tom's Market as meat manager. Terry was on the Miami Township Fire Department in the 1970s and the early '80s. He loved to relive his glory days of high school football, racing cars and hunting for the "big one."
Terry lived a very full and simple life and will be missed by many. His family would like to thank the Miami Township EMTs for the courteous and caring treatment of Terry whenever they were called to the house.
