- John Trolinger Obituary
John Steven Trolinger, 65, of Calhoun, Missouri, formerly of Belton, Mo., died Monday, December 25, 2023, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas.
He was born August 4, 1958, in Clinton, Mo., the son of Carl Orman Trolinger and Ruth Irene (Brown) Trolinger. On April 16, 1978, he married Jo Anne McKim at the Calhoun Christian Church, and she survives of the home.
John graduated from Windsor High School in 1976. He worked as a machinist for Peterson Manufacturing Co in Grandview for 25 years. He then worked for Champion Brands in Clinton for 5 years before retirement in May, 2021. Raising cattle, he enjoyed farm life and fishing, hunting, and doing mechanic work around the farm. He also liked sports and was a member and Deacon of the former Calhoun Christian Church.
In addition to his wife Jo, survivors include 3 sons, John Carl Trolinger, Belton, Mo.; Jordan Trolinger, Belton, Mo.; and Jeffery Trolinger, Kansas City, Mo.; 2 brothers, Bob Trolinger (Joyce), Calhoun, Mo., and Dale Trolinger; 3 sisters, Marjorie Baskins, Independence, Mo., Barbara Ross (Gale), Warrensburg, Mo., and Kathy LaFleur, Oak Grove, Mo.; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; a brother-in-law, Roy Baskins; and a sister-in-law, Leah Trolinger.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2023, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Dr. Dennis Wistrom officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, December 28, at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
