Francis (Frank) Trolinger was born on June 12, 1937, at Little Onion, OK to William Thomas and Olive Cleo (Pyle) Trolinger. He passed to his eternal home in Heaven on July 20, 2024, in Oklahoma City at the age of 87 years and one month.
Frank grew up in Vinita, OK as the youngest of six children. He attended elementary and high school in Vinita where he loved to play basketball. He later served in the U.S. Navy and in the National Guard. He moved to Oklahoma City where he was employed as a camera operator for Channel 9 and Channel 13. He later worked for the U.S. Post Office as a mail carrier for many years. Several well-known people lived on his mail route ? Conway Twitty, and Jude and Jody. Frank finished his career as a Receiving Coordinator at the Fred Jones Manufacturing Company in Oklahoma City.
Frank married Mary Katherine (Manning) on November 18, 1961, IN Gainesville, TX. They were married for 52 years until Mary Katherine?s death on January 26, 2014. When they married, he was blessed with a ?bonus family? ? a daughter, Georgia Kay, and a son, Kenneth (Buster). Then, in 1962, another daughter, Tina, was born.
In his spare time, he loved to play golf and participated in many tournaments sponsored by the Fred Jones Manufacturing Company. After having back surgery, he had to re-learn how to swing a golf club to continue playing. Frank was a man of many talents. He was a master wood craftsman and could make about anything out of wood. He loved working on electronics and cars, enjoyed photography and being the ?sound man? for his church.
Frank loved his family, and many times would do without to help his family. He was a member of the Friendship Pentecostal Holiness Church in Oklahoma City for many years and was faithful in working on different projects to improve the church property. For the past several years, he attended the Unified Vision Church in Oklahoma City.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, William Thomas and Olive Cleo (Pyle) Trolinger, and siblings Arnold, LeRoy, Odell, Cecil, and Evelyn Louise, his wife, Mary Katherine, and daughters, Georgia Kay, and Reva Joe. Dad, Gramps, you will be missed ? your beautiful smile, generosity, your friendship, as a Christian man, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
