  Because Joseph and his wife have a daughter named Teresa (Theresa), I believe that Joseph's wife's birth name is also Teresa (Theresa). Nicknames have always been popular and as a result, I believe the various forms of Teresa such as "Theresy" and "Tinsey", etc. are simply the misspellings of it by various people such as census takers and others coupled with the fact many of them were not spelling experts along with the distinct possibility that even Joseph's wife may not have been a good speller herself all leading to the various spellings of her name.
