- Charles M. Abrams, 95, of Coloma passed away on Jan. 11, 2024, at Woodland Terrace of Paw Paw Lake in Coloma.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, Jan. 18, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma beginning at 1 p.m. with burial following in Coloma Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Memorial donations in Charles' memory may be made to the Coloma Lions Club.

Charles was born on Aug. 16, 1928, in Hamilton Township to Maurice Abrams and LaVada (Drullinger) Abrams-Hoxie.
He attended Corwin Country School across the street from the family farm, graduated from Hartford High School and attended Michigan State University for their agricultural program.
Charles worked for American Can for more than 30 years and retired as a custodian from Coloma schools. He was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church, a past president for the Coloma Lions Club and was a past member of the Coloma Masonic Lodge. Charles was also on the Coloma Township Planning Commission for several years, he was a big U of M football and Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed camping, gardening and traveling.
Charles is survived by his children: Brian (Theresa) Abrams of Crystal River, Fla., Jennifer (Edmund) Hengesh of Canton, Mich., Brent (Renee) Abrams of Dowagiac and Jodi Foster of St. Joseph. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Brittany (Cory), Eddie (Mackenzie), Tyler, McKenzie, Nicholas (Amber), Spencer and Luc (Courtney) and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by wife, Barbara-Ann in 2018, and his brother, James W. Abrams.
