Ridge Spring - Arlie Dee Tinder of Route 1, Mt. Calvary Road, died yesterday in the Aiken County hospital.
Funeral services were to take place today at 11 a.m. in Posey's Funeral Home Chapel, Graniteville, with the Rev. John Arthur officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery near Camden at 3 p.m.
Mr. Tinder was a native of Indiana and lived in South Carolina for the past nine years. He was a retired engineer of the Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad and was a member of Eureka Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his widow, Josephine Carpenter Tinder, Ridge Spring; one son, Arlie D. Tinder, Jr., New York, N.Y.; one stepson, Leonard Haston, Lugoff; one sister, Ruth Williams, Kingman, Ind.
Friends may call at the residence or at the funeral home.
