Maryann passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
She is survived by six children: Ross (Shelley), Greg (Lynn), Jennifer (Dennis), Sigard (Christine), Carol and Julie. Sister Betty. Maryann adored her 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was born to Victor and Irene Ohlson, Feb. 14, 1932 on a farm in Mitchell, S.D. She married Trygve Peterson and moved to California in the 1950's. She was a waitress at IHOP for over 25 years. She moved to Redding in 1978.
Maryann had a vivacious personality, kept busy with her stained glass (which she shared with her family and friends), quilting, gardening, canning and fishing. Maryann loved her Lord Jesus, was a member of Berean Bible Church.
Maryann is preceded in death by cherished dogs-Pepe and Layla, daughter Kriste, sister Delores.
She will be buried with her daughter Kriste at Pioneer Memorial Cemetery, Pleasanton, CA.
Graveside services will be Sat., Sept. 17 at 11am.
