      Hello Everyone!!

Hi Everybody: It is hard to believe that is has been so long since we all went to school. But in my case I am reminded every day. My daughter was born in Sept. of 74. So if by chance I forget how long I have been out of school all I have to do is look at her & that reminds me. Boy do I feel old!! I married my high school sweetheart (David Williams) in '79. We were married for 13 & a half yrs. before he died Dec. 30, 1992 of Kidney failure. For my daughter & I it was hard, but after awhile we were able to get on with our lives. My daughter married 7 months after her dad died & the months before that were awful hard on both of us. In Dec. of 2000 I met a wonderful man on the Internet. We hit it off right away. We were married in Oct of 2000. Life is Great!!! I am now working for the Community Colleges of KC & have been for over 5 years. Wish I could retire!! Hope everyone is doing well themselves.
    • Jeanette Cotner was born September 25, 1935 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She married her sweetheart, Truman Cotner in June of 1955 and the two enjoyed 63-years of marriage. Together they had two sons and two daughters. Jeanette had a big heart and that was obvious in everything she did. She loved working with children and often babysat for family and friends. She eventually went to work for the local school districts and helped to make an impact on the lives of many kids during her years with them, some even called her their ?second mom?.

Jeanette was a lifelong Cardinals fan and her home was a testament with hundreds of the beautiful red birds adorning the walls and shelves next to the many, many pictures of her four children, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

While her passing leaves a great void in our lives, we find comfort in knowing that Jeanette is now reunited with her loved ones who have preceded her in death: her loving husband Truman Cotner, her daughter Sandra Trullinger, and her grandson Jeremy Cotner.

Jeanette is survived by her children John Cotner and Lesa McDowell, Bud Cotner, her grandchildren Dawn Ely, Angela McDowell, Felicia McDowell, Quentin Cotner, and Dakota Cotner, and her great-grandchildren Max, Truman, Wyatt, Elliot, and Colton.

Jeanette was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, friend, and confidant. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of love and her memory will continue to live on through the countless lives she has touched.
