Eggleston, a warehouseman for several Portland department stores, died Dec. 11, 1996, in his Woodburn home at age 83. A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, in the Woodburn Free Methodist Church where he was a member. Mr. Eggleston was born April 26, 1913, in Portland. He graduated from Benson High School in 1931. He married Hazel A. Trullinger in 1954. They lived in Portland before moving to Woodburn Senior Estates in 1987. Survivors include his wife; and sister, Helen Parvin of Washougal, Wash. Interment will be in Belle Passi Cemetery in Woodburn. The family suggests remembrances to the American Red Cross; or the church. Arrangements are by Cornwell, Colonial Chapel in Woodburn.

Eggleston of Portland, August 21 at the 1st Free Methodist Church in Portland. Rev George H. Norsworthy of Woodburn officiated. The bride wore a dressmaker suit of beige linen with white accessories. She carried a spray bouquet of white orchids. Mrs Elmer V. Witham of Woodburn was matron of honor for her twin sister and Miss Nelda Trullinger of Salem was bridesmaid. George Hill was best man and Ushers were Harold Bangs and Lynwood Carver. After a reception at the church, the couple left on a motor trip in Oregon and Washington. They are now at home in Portland.
