Patricia A.Balon
(nee Rossman), 78, born to Daisy and Harvey Rossman of Lannon, WI, on May 26, 1939, returned home to be with her Savior on January 2, 2018. She was the Valedictorian of Menomonee Falls High School, Class of 1957. She was united in marriage to John A. Balon on November 4, 1967. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2017. She also was preceded in death by her first husband, David Drollinger, who left this earth too soon.
She is survived by her devoted children Debra (Peter) Heermans, and Bobbie Johann, her 7 loving grandchildren, Jacob Heermans (fiancé Susan Ruehle), Amanda (Joel) Schomberg, Katie Heermans, Bailee and Cassidy Vaughn, and Ava and Zoe Johann, and her 3 sisters Susan (Egon) Schmandt, Becky (Dale) Schneider and Sharon Wiesner. Pat is further survived by many special nieces and nephews.
Pat was a proud and involved mother and grandmother with a generous heart; always lovingly sacrificing her time and energies for her family, extended family and others. She enjoyed spending countless hours with her children and grandchildren at cultural experiences through her memberships with the Milwaukee Public Museum, the Milwaukee Art Museum, and attending musical productions at the Pabst Theater. She and John worked hard to provide the best educational opportunities available to further the goals and ambitions of their family.
Pat worked as a laboratory technologist for over 35 years, 20 of which were at Medical Associates in Menomonee Falls. She also dedicated a large portion of her life to volunteering. She had a long association with the Pabst Mansion from 1985-2015, serving as a loyal docent, a member of the Volunteer Council and the Group Tour Coordinator. She also volunteered with Lutherans for Life and was appointed by the mayor serving 17 years on the City of Milwaukee Historic Preservation Committee.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 7th from 2:00-4:00 p.m., with a funeral service being held directly afterwards at 4:00 p.m. at SALEM LUTHERAN CHURCH, 6840 N. 107th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53224. A luncheon will be provided by the Salem Ladies' Guild after the service.
