- Anna Trenta Pratt
1933-2021
We lost a light in our lives when Anna Trenta Pratt passed on August 31, 2021. An effervescent soul born in Jersey City, NJ during the Depression, she lead a full life as a devoted wife to precious husband, Bill Pratt, AT&T engineer. Together they raised four daughters, Deborah Ann, Lana Michelle, Denise Yvonne and Paula Gabrielle, and later embraced sons-in-love, Hank, Don, Eric and Chris. She was fondly called Grammie and Mimi by her loving grandchildren, Ashley, Harmony, Derek, Tara, Kaleigh, Will, Cassidy, Christopher, Kelly and Megan. Known as Mrs. Pratt, Anna enjoyed the love of her dear adopted Tagliatela family. Educated at Saint Rose High School in Belmar, with some college, she worked as a cardiogram technician at Fitkin Hospital, adding empathy and compassion to patient care. Always proud of her expansive career in the creative arts, fashion design, oil painting, poetry, doll making, and interior decorating, she took joy in each smile and loved sharing her many gifts. As a creative consultant and guest liaison for three decades at the Saybrook Point Inn, Anna made friends of everyone, and their stories found a home in her heart. A lover of love letters, classic film, literature, music and accomplished in Italian cooking, she could connect with everyone. Her angelic inspired love, wisdom and faith will continue to illuminate our paths.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Anna's honor to the Saint Rose Food Pantry in Belmar, NJ (strosebelmar.com) or Potter League Pets in Need in Rhode Island, (www.potterleague.org).
Loved ones are invited to join a Funeral Mass at St. John's Catholic Church in Old Saybrook CT on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11am. Burial service will follow at River Bend Cemetery in Westerly, RI. www.swanfuneralhomeoldsaybrook.com
