- Opal Elaine Goddard of Milford, Penn., formerly of the Newberg area, died April 12, 2011. She was 89.
She was born May 21, 1921, in Wheeler to Ivan and Nellie (Corder) Witcher. She grew up in various towns throughout western Oregon as the family moved with her father's career in the logging industry.
She worked in computational processing for Wells Fargo in Portland for more than 20 years.
She married Arthur Druliner and, after his death, Arthur Goddard of Portland. After her second husband's death in 1998, she moved to Milford to be close to family. She was a member of the Red Hat Society there.
Survivors include: daughter Burma Pedranti of Milford; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Disposition will be by cremation. A memorial service and internment will take place in Newberg at the end of August.
