Two Houston High School seniors will play college level lacrosse next year as Will Britt signs with Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN and Sam Druelinger signs with Berry College in Rome, GA.
As defensive men or “D-Poles,” Britt and Druelinger have been a major part of the Houston lacrosse defense since their middle school days. Both young men began playing lacrosse in 4th grade. The two also played together on club teams including Bluff City Blues and True Tennessee. Both were named to the All Star Team at Southern Combat, a competitive recruitment camp in Birmingham. The True Tennessee team won the championship at the Baltimore Trilogy Lacrosse Tournament last spring.
Britt, a resident of Collierville, is an Eagle Scout as well as member of Houston High Trap Team and Outdoors Club. He plans to major in Environmental Science.
Druelinger, a resident of Germantown, is a member of the Houston SGA Executive Council, Beta Club, National Honor Society and Houston Honors Academy. He will major in Kinesiology/Physical Therapy.
