HORTENSE. Weather fine, and the finest prospect for corn we ever saw. Quite a good many are plowing for wheat. ' Will Hirston, Chas. Elliott anil-Prof. anil-Prof. anil-Prof. Blain called on the Misses Hostin Sunday evening. John Hostin ana Miss tannic Severs attended church at Mount Ollive Sunday. Clark Scott, of this place, and Miss Lula Watkins, of Clinton, attended attended the singing at Mr. Leake's Sunday evening. Carl Severs, Walter Hostin and Elma Huston went to Leesville as usual Sunday evening. Don't know when they got home, as it commenced commenced to rain about sundown Sammie Trollinger, of Roseland. and Misses Dora East and Laura Severs, of this place, attended the ice cream supper at Leesville.
