Marjorie worked as a pairer for over 20 years at the former Great American Knitting Mill, Bally, until her retirement. SURVIVORS: Marjorie is survived by her children: Debra A. (Magill), widow of Robert F. Miller Jr., companion of William H. "Bill" Trexler, Mertztown; Donna L. (Magill), widow of Steven C. Kressley, Blandon; and Michael A. Magill, Fleetwood. Other survivors include a sister, Diane (Trollinger) Herbst, Barto; five grandchildren: Lori Novack, Todd Dierolf, Brad Magill, Kelsey Magill and Tyler Magill; four great-grandchildren: Skyeler Dierolf, Savanah Dierolf, Autumn Novack and Aiden Novack. Marjorie was predeceased by a sister, Susan; and a brother, James Trollinger. SERVICES: At Marjorie's request there will be no services. She grew up in Westchester, the junior sibling of four that included Edward, Richard and Inez, (all predeceased). She spent her childhood surrounded by family, attending Main Street School and Tuckahoe High School. She also attended New York University as a night student, with considerable concentration on the creative arts. Skilled with and enamored of the piano from an early age, she was known to quote, "They laughed when she sat down to play and wept when she got up to leave," to express her pleasure at having participated in a well-received piano recital at Carnegie Hall in her youth. Marjorie met and fell in love with Ammon Chapman, who she married in New York City. Before long, they had three children, Ammon Gilbert, Annette Louise and Ann Elizabeth. For a time they resided in Brooklyn and Westchester, finally settling in Nassau County for the next half century. While in Nassau County, she was a valued sales representative for a few Long Island siding companies, which profited from her gift of gab and sharp business acumen. She had a Big heart; loved all music, especially Brazilian bossa nova and had her creative writing published in several small press journals. She will be missed by the people whose lives she touched. Most of all, she leaves a void that once was filled. She is survived by her three children: Gilbert, Annette and Ann; her many grandchildren, Alicia Roberts, Mark Chapman, Deidre Chapman; also, Bethany Chapman. Her great-granchildren, Nicole, Jalen and Wesley Roberts, Jr., Dominique Chapman; and her great-great-granchildren, Jordyn Roberts, Javon, Jordan and Jalise Hardgrove; along with nieces and nephew, David Webb, Holly Webb, Carolyn Chick, Catherine Moore; and other family friends.
