44240 | I1250 | Trullinger | Cyrus Grant | 24 May 1887 | 29 May 1901 | 0 | Our Proud Past by Gail J. McCormick A Compiled History of the families that Settled at the End of the Oregon Trail Vol. One The turn of the century arrived at Union Mills. Gabriel had aged and his son, Delazon, had taken over the reins of management at Union Mills. In the late 1800s Delazon married Maude Paine. They had four children: Blanche, Maude, Pauline and a son Grant. May of 1901 tragedy struck the Trullinger family at Union Mills. The family kept a boat at the old lake to cross on, but for unknown reasons, that day Grant, aged fourteen, had decided to try to cross on the logs. He fell into the lake and drowned, leaving Dellazon without a son to carry on the Trullinger name. Transcribed by Gordon L. Drollinger from hard copy in my possession. |

44250 | I1218 | Trullinger | Daniel | 2 Dec 1801 | 23 Apr 1869 | 0 | Daniel died out in the country where he had a homestead in Milk Creek area which is out near the Molalla/Mulino area. He could have been buried out there on his farm or he could possibly have been buried in the Trullinger Cemetery which is not far from where Daniel lived and his son Gabriel and Gabriel's wife and others in the family are buried there. There has been a fair amount of vandalism to that tiny cemetery over the years which is hidden away, out in the woods far from any roadway. Daniel may just not have a gravestone in there? Daniel's wife Elizabeth moved to Roseburg after Daniel died, and died there. I believe Elizabeth went there to live with one of her daughters when she was old who had moved there to be close to her. It is not known where Elizabeth was buried for sure either. Nathan Burial: Unknown |
