45820 I25201  Trullinger  William M. (H.) "Bill"  13 May 1864  7 Apr 1931  William is the son of William Trullinger (b 4 May 1813 OH).
Because he is the one to have provided it to the 1910 Census taker, it seems most likely that his middle initial is 'M' and not 'H' as it is cited in his death notice, information that was provided by other people who may have been mistaken. Also in the 1910 Census, William states his father and mother's birth place as Kansas. Because William was only about twelve (12) years old at the time of his father's death, it would seem likely that he could easily be mistaken about something like that.

Exactly who is William's sister, Mrs. May Whitlock of Portland, Oregon that is referred to in his newspaper death notice?

MORLEY V. SILVERTON HOSPITAL
This is a controversy respecting the alleged will of Gerome Morley who died in Marion county February 2, 1926. The alleged will, dated November 16, 1925, bequeathed Morley's property, worth approximately $22,000, to the Silverton Hospital, a corporation. The will was presented for probate to the county court of Marion county in common form and was so admitted March 2, 1926. On April 10, 1926, the contestants, twenty-one in number, eleven of whom are the brothers and sisters, and ten of whom are the nieces and nephews of the deceased, filed a petition for contest, alleging: (1) that the testator lacked testamentary capacity; (2) that the will was not properly executed; and (3) that at the time of the alleged execution Morley was acting under the undue influence of Mrs. May Day. The hospital answered, averring the validity of the will, and the matter went to trial before Honorable J.T. Hunt, County Judge of Marion county, who, on the 28th day of December, 1926, found in favor of the hospital. On the 26th day of January, 1927, the contestants filed notice of appeal to the circuit court and on the 2d day of January, 1929, that court, after consideration of the record, reversed the decision of the county court with a finding in favor of the contestants. Thereafter the proponent appealed to this court.

(15) He adhered tenaciously to the wholly false and groundless notion that Bill Trollinger, a Silverton resident, had married a squaw.

45827 I19876  Trullinger  William R. "Willie"  31 Mar 1814  30 Jul 1814  We know Peter Drollinger of Franconia (now Philadelphia) spelled his name as Drollinger. His son Andreas or Andrew was a Drollinger who was variously was recorded as Trollinger and signed his name to the probate of Peter record as Trollinger. His marriage record was as Drollinger. Andrew's children found in the records of St Michael's Evangelical Luthern Church Germantown (also now part of Philadelphia) went to spelling the surname drollinger, Trollinger and Trullinger. This is confusing to say the least and future researchers need to be aware of this spelling quirk.  tree1

Company History
The Colonial Park Fire Company #1 was founded on February 7, 1944 by six local citizens who were Air Raid Wardens during World War II. The Colonial Park area, which is part of Lower Paxton Township, had about 3000 people living in it at that time.
The first meeting was held on May 17, 1944 at the Colonial Country Club. The first officers were President, Mr. Richard T. Conway; Vice President, Mr. Charles Stolzer; Recording Secretary, Mr. Lester L.Berlin; Financial Secretary, Mr. William T. Trullinger; Treasurer, Mr. Gehr; Trustees, Mr. James Snyder, Mr. Charles W. McCoy and Mr. A. Burrell. The Fire Officers were Chief, Mr. Richard T. Conway; Assistant Chief, Mr. Wagner and Mr. J. E. Dehner; Captain, Mr. Joseph B. Hutchinson and Lieutenant Mr. William G. Ebersole, Jr.
At the August 1944 meeting, the first engine was purchased; a used American LaFrance chemical truck from Franklin town in Adams County; for $250.00. A tank and pump were added and the truck was kept in a garage behind Trullinger's store. All fire calls were taken by the Trullinger's.
At a special meeting on February 19, 1945; a plot of ground fifty by one hundred fifty feet located on the northern side of Jonestown Road was purchased from the Penbrook Bank; the asking price was $1000.00. However, the fire company paid $500 and the bank donated the other half of the cost. At a later date, the fire company purchased the fifty foot plot next to the current one for $800.
The next step was to build a firehouse. The fire company borrowed $7,000.00 from the Penbrook Bank and the new station of two bays, a kitchen, office and restrooms was built. The bays would also double as the social hall.
On June 3, 1946; the regular monthly meeting of the Colonial Park Fire Company was held for the first time in the new station at 4520 Jonestown Road...

BRANAMAN - AFFILIATED FAMILY
Pennsylvania Brennemans
Pennsylvania Deeds
The first legal records that mention the Brennemans are deeds to purchase land.
Christian Brenneman, our ancestor, and Hans George Trullinger purchased 60 acres on Oct. 12, 1717, between the French Creek and the Skulykill River.
Melchoir Brenneman (II) purchased 500 acres in the Conestoga settlement in Lancaster County on Nov. 30, 1717. This property was surrounded by other Swiss Mennonite settlements. The adjacent land was owned by Hans George Trullinger. Another neighbor was Hans Herr, the local pastor and farmer. [See photo of the Hans Herr House, whichwas built in the typical "German" style with the chimney in the centerof the house.]
(Note: Christian Brenneman may have been George Trullinger's original partner in the Trullinger & Co. business)

He was educated in the private schools of Harrisburg, and early in life learned the trade of saddler and followed it for several years. He was associated in this line of business, on Market Square, with Samuel Hayes, and finally sold out and engaged in the lumber trade, with George Trullinger, under the firm name of Trullinger & Co.On account of failing health he sold his business and lived a retired life for a few years, dying about 1840. 45842 I16729  Trullinger (Trollinger)  George  24 Sep 1808  Aft 1880  We know Peter Drollinger of Franconia (now Philadelphia) spelled his name as Drollinger. This is confusing to say the least and future researchers need to be aware of this spelling quirk.  tree1
