47605 | I29380 | White | Shawna Danelle | 0 | Danny Miles White, age 70, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. He was born on June 5, 1953, in Springdale, Arkansas, to the late Verl White and Elsie Sarratt White. Danny was a beloved figure in the community as the owner and operator of Metro Paint for over 40 years. His dedication to his business was matched only by his passion for life. He had a knack for finding joy in the simple things, such as woodworking, tending to his garden, and embarking on adventurous travels. Danny's zest for life shone brightest when he was hosting parties, taking his family on unforgettable vacations, and setting sail on cruises. He had a mischievous side that endeared him to all who knew him, as playing practical jokes on his family and friends brought him immense delight. Laughter and love were always in abundance when Danny was around. Danny is survived by his loving wife, Lorri White, and his cherished children: Mike (Sarah) White, Chad (Katie) Everett, Brian (Lyndee) Frost, Ethan Vancleave, Shawna (Justin) Trolinger, Kristen (Trey) Thompson, and Bo (Chris) Martens. He is also survived by his brother, Lanney (Joyce) White, sister Verlene (Oscar) Mathews, and a host of adoring grandchildren: Kylie, Maycee, Kayden, Kyler, Jace, Briggs, Joseph, Jessica, Joshua, Eleanor, Abigail, Anna, Asher, and Crawford. A funeral service in honor of Danny will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 23, at Revival Tabernacle Church in Springdale, with Pastor Ken Eden officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Cameron White, Jerry Martens, Travis Burnett, Calvin McGaugh, Oswaldo Rios, and Charles Savage. Visitation hours are from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Danny's legacy of laughter, love, and the joy he brought to all who knew him will live on in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. |

47612 | I21426 | White Cloud | Julia Ann | Abt 1840 | 0 | It appears possible that Bonnie's maiden name my be "Destiny" (see Richard Hessler notes below) Plus 20 Feb 1885 marriage to said HJB, Family Bible record (HJB) by William H. White JP I, too, have a copy of the Bishop family Bible you mention. Henry Jefferson Bishop was married to Eliza L. Self (she was previously married to a Mr. Williams). "Mrs." Julia Ann Trollinger was a neighbor/domestic who provided care services to Eliza in her old age. After Eliza died, her son, B.F. Williams (by Eliza's first marriage)gave Julia Ann Trollinger land for services rendered to Eliza before she died. Very shortly thereafter, Julia Ann Trollinger married Eliza's widowed husband H.J. Bishop. Of the three Trollinger children listed, one was my great-grandfather, John Marcus Trollinger. His grandmother was Hulda Trollinger, not Julia Ann Trollinger. His mother's name is believed to be Destiny (???), reputedly an Indian from the nearby Catawba Reservation, but no doubt you've heard that Indian princess story before. I guess "Mrs Julia Ann was the children's mother, maybe their aunt, but must have been someone close to the children. Otherwise why the entry in Mrs. Julia Ann Trollinger husband's Family Bible? Maybe another wife of Albert Bomer Trollinger, but do not know for sure. What I haven't reviewed or found yet are the extant (and available) microfilmed church minutes from the church of the elder, deeds abstracted for the property they owned for which there is/are no deeds of later conveyance, any death certificates that may be available for descendants who died in GA, any Michael or Samuel Trollinger wills filed in NC, or descendant wills filed in GA. Richard Hessler I have a Albert Bomar Trollinger (SC);sometimes went by name of Bomar Morrison. was married to Indian woman, who "left her children & returned to the reservation". Children were: William H., John M., Nannie T., and Hasie (Hosea). Nannie was my G-grandmother, she married Joseph Davis, the family lived in Georgia until they migrating to Cincinnati, Ohio. Sondra Bartlett on GenForum 2006 Looking for info about Albert Bomar Trollinger (SC), who sometimes used the name of Bomar MORRISON & esp. 1st wife, who was Cherokee & "left her children with their grandparents & returned to the reservation". Have received info that her Indian named may have been White Cloud but was named "Bonnie" by the whites. One of her children, Nannie Talula Trollinger, was my G-grandmother. Nannie married Joseph Calvin DAVIS (TN), one of their sons-Berry Clifford Davis (GA.) was my grandfather. He married Cordelia GOINS (KY.). Their daug., Reba Jewell married Louis LAWSON (OH). 47621 | I10021 | Whiting | Elizabeth L. | 2 Jul 1828 | 31 Jan 1919 | 0 | AN AGED LADY DIES WENT TO SLEEP TO ENTER THAT LIFE MORE ABUNDANT Has Lived a Consistant (Consistent) Christian Life For Over Seventy Years With Faith That Never Wavered The life of Mrs. Elizabeth L. Drullinger who was called home Friday of last week after having lived a number of weeks at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. G. H. Shaw, was one that exemplified the life of the Master. It would furnish food for sermons, yes volumns. The writer had the privilege of meeting her and visiting her, learning of her experience, her hope, her faith. For over seventy years she has lived so close to the Master that her life grew in grace day by day, year by year. Her life was not only one of experience but one of real joy. Her's was the kind that liked to pray with folks and have folks pray with her. The real prayer life which alone God honors. In her last days, and rapid decline in health her faith in God grew stronger and stronger until she met Him face to face and her faith ripened into actual experience. She was born in Pickwick County, Ohio, in July 1828 and departed this life at Oberlin, Kansas, January 31, 1919, aged 90 years and 7 months. She has been making her home at Chester Nebraska, until eleven weeks ago when she came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Shaw, here the end came. She leaves to mourn her departure ten children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her husband and three children having preceded her to the mysteries of the great beyond. She leaves the richest heritage this world has to offer. She left little if any gold and silver but she left that which is far better and richer, a memory of a Christian life and Christian deeds. This is worth more to her heirs than untold millions. The hope in the breast of bereaved ones that they may again meet mother and grandmother where parting will surely be no more. |

47624 | I22837 | Whiting | Smith Slaughter | Abt 1806 | Abt 1875 | 0 | SOURCE: "History of Champaign County, Illinois with Illustrations,"1878 HARRISON W. DRULLINGER - The name of Harrison W. Drullinger of St.Joseph township appropriately appears in a work of his character. Hewas born in Butler county, Ohio, on the 6th of August, 1819. He isdescended from a German family which early settled in Pennsylvania. His grandfather emigrated from Pennsylvania to Ohio, about the yearl794, and settled in Hamilton county, where the city of Cincinnati nowstands. At that time there was only one house with a shingle roof inthe whole town. Philip DRULLINGER, the father of the subject of thissketch, was born in Pennsylvania in the year 1790, and was four yearsof age when he came to Ohio. The family afterward settled fifteenmiles north of Cincinnati. Philip Drullinger married Catharine WEST,of Pickaway county, Ohio. There were three children: Eliza, now Mrs.John O'BRIANT, living in this county; Julia, who married James COWDEN,one of the first settlers of St. Joseph township, both now deceased, and Harrison W. Drullinger, the only son. When Mr. Drullinger was about nine years of age, his father moved withthe family to Union county, Indiana. Here Mr. Drullinger went toschool. Subscription schools were held in log school-houses; slabs andrails answered the purpose of benches, and educational advantages werelimited in comparison with those of the present day. In 1839 he cameto Vermilion county, Illinois, his father having removed to thatlocality the previous year. October 1st, 1840, he married MaryBARTLEY, the daughter of George BARTLEY, one of the earliest settlersof St. Joseph township; he came from Pickaway county, Ohio, in 1832,and entered the land now owned by Mr. Drullinger, west of the SaltFork. From 1840 to the present time, with the exception of three yearswhen he lived on land which he entered a mile west, Mr. Drullinger hasbeen living on his present farm, which is composed of 212 acres. Heowns three hundred acres altogether, and at different times has boughtand paid for nine hundred acres, the greater part of which is nowdivided out among his children. His first wife died in 1848. His second marriage occurred in May,1849, to Elizabeth WHITING, daughter of S. S. WHITING. Mrs. Drullingerwas born in Pickaway county, Ohio, and came to Champaign county in1847. Mr. Drullinger has nine children; by his first marriage twodaughters, Eliza and Mary, the latter the wife of George LUDWICK; andby his second marriage William S., Lewis S., Henry P., Charles P.,Julia A.; Harrison S., Walter W., Minnie F., and Nora F. William S.,Henry P., and Charles P. are farming for themselves, and Lewis S. isdealing in stock at St. Joseph. He was originally a Democrat in politics, and in 1840 cast his firstvote for President for Martin Van Buren. With the exception of 1848,when he voted for Gen. Taylor, he continued to vote the Democraticticket till the agitation of the slavery question, when he tookdecided ground against the further extension of that evil in theterritories. On the rise of the Republican party he became one of itsearliest members, as he has since been one of its firmest supporters. In 1856 he voted for Fremont---the first National candidate of theparty, and has supported the Republican ticket at every electionsince. In the spring of 1866 he was elected supervisor of St. Josephtownship, and was re-elected the following year. While holding thisoffice the Indianapolis, Bloomington and Western railroad bonds wereissued, the people of the township having previously voted almostunanimously in favor of such a step. Mr. Drullinger in this matteracted in his official capacity, and in a perfectly legal and propermanner. His action was in accordance with the known sentiment of thepeople of the township at that time, and has since been sustained bythe United States Courts, on the validity of the bonds beingquestioned. He is a man whose influence has been exerted on the sideof morality. He joined the Methodist Church in Indiana, when nineteenyears of age. His temperance principles are of the strictestcharacter. He has not tasted a drop of whiskey for thirty years, norused tobacco in any form since he has been in the State. |

"Mr. Whittelsey bought the old paper mill at Windsor Locks, Conn., in 1878, which was in a very dilapidated condition, and by a liberal expenditure of money transformed it into what is now one of the most attractive and prosperous paper mills in the State.
