Father:
Ellis O. Anderson, a life-long Troy resident, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at Bishop Place in Pullman, from complications following a fall. He was 84.

Ellis was born April 9, 1928, at Troy to Ernest A. and Helen M. Kellberg Anderson. He grew up on the family farm and attended school on Burnt Ridge. He took correspondence courses for his high school requirements while working on the farm. On June 3, 1950, he and Dorothy J. Phelps were married at the Troy Lutheran Church. They rented farm ground while Ellis also worked at Korters Creamery, later the White Pine Dairy, and for Commercial Builders at Moscow, partially on the construction of WSU. Ellis continued to farm throughout the years and for a time also worked for George Brocke and Sons. He officially retired from farming in 1997.

Ellis was an active member of his church and community. He served on the Cemetery Board since 1987, was a founder of the Troy TV Company, serving as secretary and president, was active in various farming organizations, served on the Centennial Committee, the Friends of the Troy Library, an ad hoc committee for Gov. Cecil Andrus for weed control legislation, the Troy Lutheran Church, where he served as Sunday school superintendent, the church council and helped with the remodeling.

For many years, he built dollhouses and accessories and traveled to many "miniature" shows. He and Dorothy paid their expenses and "banked" the profits to fund their many vacations and cruises. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are his wife of nearly 62 years, Dorothy, at their Troy home; his daughters, Gloria and Bob Law of Wilder, Idaho, Marlys and Rick Wilson and Cynthia and Vern Illi, all of Troy; and his son, Philip and Sue Anderson of Moscow. He also leaves his grandchildren, Jacob Anderson, Joshua Anderson, Jessica Oscarson, Kimberly Yauchzee, Tyler Law, Zachary Illi and Nathan Illi; along with his great-grandchildren, Kynlee Anderson, Connor Anderson and Jocelyn Anderson; and his sister, Lois L. Sethe of Renton, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest LaVerne Anderson and John Edwin Anderson; and a sister, Marie A. Grande.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow. The Rev. Nick Nicolai of the Troy Lutheran Church will officiate, and a luncheon will follow at the Troy Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. A private committal and urn placement will be at the Burnt Ridge Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Troy Lutheran Church, the Troy Ambulance Fund or to the Friends of the Troy Library.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow, and online condolences may be sent to www.shortsfuneralchapel.net.

508 I19574  Anderson  Kenna Sue  21 Jul 1964  14 Mar 2022  Kenna Sue was the ultimate Warrior Princess. She fought for her life fiercely for several years ultimately succumbing to her illnesses on March 14th, 2022, surrounded by her family. Kenna met Lloyd Steele they quickly fell in love and married November 26th, 2004. Lloyd showed Kenna how to live life to the fullest. Together they made many lasting memories and lifelong friends at their home away from home on the hill. He provided for and loved her through all her years of suffering.

She enjoyed camping in the Big Horns with her family each summer at her ?happy place? Sibly lake. She was an avid bingo player and could be found at Troopers Bingo with her BBB Nikki, any chance she had. She also loved crocheting hats and blankets for her family, creating crafts with her mother, plants of all kinds, family poker, road trips with her family, admiring sunsets and earthing with her daughters and making fairy gardens for her grandchildren. Kenna was a faithful Christian , Always reminding her Children and Grandchildren to "give it to God" and taught them that although this world is not always easy, our rewards will be great in heaven. We know she is now receiving her rewards in heaven, because she gave so much of herself to others here on earth. She always said the best prayers during family functions and encouraged her children to remain strong within their faith.

With her passing she took a piece of each of our hearts with her, and although we mourn our loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now reunited in Heaven with some of her favorite people, living an eternal life free from pain, illness, and suffering. ELWOOD, Neb. - Three Colby residents were killed early Saturday on US283 when the pickup truck in which they were riding left the road and slammed into a ditch about 8 miles south of here.
Dead are Twila K. Brogan, 19, identified by the Nebraska State Patrol as the driver; Marlene F. Drullinger, 37, and Brenda Drullinger, 12, Marlene's daughter. Injured but in satisfactory condition later Saturday in a Cambridge, Neb., hospital were Richard Drullinger, 17, son of Mrs, Drullinger, and Lori Holm, 10, Colby, a friend of Brenda's. Young Drullinger suffered broken ribs; Lori suffered a broken arm.
The Drullinger pickup was headed north, according to lawmen, when the driver apparently lost control. The vehicle came to a rest on the west side of the highway against an embankment.
The dead were taken to an Arapahoe Neb., funeral home. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Harrison funeral home, Colby.
Elwood is about 50 miles north Norton, Kas.
