Anderson, a life-long Troy resident, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at Bishop Place in Pullman, from complications following a fall. He was 84. Ellis was born April 9, 1928, at Troy to Ernest A. and Helen M. Kellberg Anderson. He grew up on the family farm and attended school on Burnt Ridge. He took correspondence courses for his high school requirements while working on the farm. On June 3, 1950, he and Dorothy J. Phelps were married at the Troy Lutheran Church. They rented farm ground while Ellis also worked at Korters Creamery, later the White Pine Dairy, and for Commercial Builders at Moscow, partially on the construction of WSU. Ellis continued to farm throughout the years and for a time also worked for George Brocke and Sons. He officially retired from farming in 1997. Ellis was an active member of his church and community. He served on the Cemetery Board since 1987, was a founder of the Troy TV Company, serving as secretary and president, was active in various farming organizations, served on the Centennial Committee, the Friends of the Troy Library, an ad hoc committee for Gov. Cecil Andrus for weed control legislation, the Troy Lutheran Church, where he served as Sunday school superintendent, the church council and helped with the remodeling. For many years, he built dollhouses and accessories and traveled to many "miniature" shows. He and Dorothy paid their expenses and "banked" the profits to fund their many vacations and cruises. He will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his wife of nearly 62 years, Dorothy, at their Troy home; his daughters, Gloria and Bob Law of Wilder, Idaho, Marlys and Rick Wilson and Cynthia and Vern Illi, all of Troy; and his son, Philip and Sue Anderson of Moscow. He also leaves his grandchildren, Jacob Anderson, Joshua Anderson, Jessica Oscarson, Kimberly Yauchzee, Tyler Law, Zachary Illi and Nathan Illi; along with his great-grandchildren, Kynlee Anderson, Connor Anderson and Jocelyn Anderson; and his sister, Lois L. Sethe of Renton, Wash. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest LaVerne Anderson and John Edwin Anderson; and a sister, Marie A. Grande. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow. The Rev. Nick Nicolai of the Troy Lutheran Church will officiate, and a luncheon will follow at the Troy Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. A private committal and urn placement will be at the Burnt Ridge Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Troy Lutheran Church, the Troy Ambulance Fund or to the Friends of the Troy Library. They joined the Confederate army ofthe West, and participated in the battle of Peach Tree Creek, inKentucky, several small skirmishes and then the battle of Franklin, inTennessee, and then at Murfreesboro. They then went to Georgia, andfought all the way across the State; then at Chickamauga, at Resaca,at Mt. Zion, at Jones Bar, at Cassville, near Atlanta, MissionaryRidge, Bentonville, then went to Salisbury, where the commandsurrendered. Returning home, Mr. ANDERSON engaged in farming, having afine farm within the corporate limits of the town of Dublin, largelyengaged in grazing, and raising blooded stock. She fought for her life fiercely for several years ultimately succumbing to her illnesses on March 14th, 2022, surrounded by her family. She had an overwhelming love for life and faced her challenges with courage and conviction. She had a loving, caring and nurturing personality which attracted many souls and left lasting imprints on several hearts. Kenna fulfilled many roles in her short life. She was a daughter, a sister, a mama, a mugga, a nana, and a friend. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of meeting her. Kenna was born in Casper, Wyoming on July 21st, 1964 to Kenneth and Virginia Anderson. She had two siblings Shelley (Scott) Murphey of Lovell, WY and Kent (Robina) Anderson of Miami, OK. She married her first love Thomas G. Taylor on July 15th, 1980. Together they had three daughters Andria (John) Mason, Jennifer Taylor, Tommi Taylor, and their beloved son Nicholas Taylor. She was blessed with eleven cherished grandchildren: Jesse, Joey, Katie, Tyson, Tao, Tristen, Isaac, Nixon, Asher and the Babies. Tommy and Kenna spent 25 years together. Even though the marriage ended, she always held tight to the bond of their family. Kenna met Lloyd Steele they quickly fell in love and married November 26th, 2004. Lloyd showed Kenna how to live life to the fullest. Together they made many lasting memories and lifelong friends at their home away from home on the hill. He provided for and loved her through all her years of suffering. Kenna was a Respiratory Therapist and had a thriving career. She started at Desert Samaritan Hospital in Mesa AZ. In 1995, they moved the family to Lovell WY where she worked at North Big Horn Hospital. In 1999, when the opportunity to return to her hometown of Casper came along, she took it and went to work at Wyoming Medical Center for 15 years making many life long friends including: Tami Knotts her BFF and work wife, together they helped save countless lives and made many memories. Kenna had to leave her job in 2010, when her health Issues prevented her from working, but she never lost her compassion and healing spirit. Kenna was a free spirited flower child with a heart of gold. She had the ability to make friends anywhere she went. She never met a stranger. She enjoyed camping in the Big Horns with her family each summer at her ?happy place? Sibly lake. She was an avid bingo player and could be found at Troopers Bingo with her BBB Nikki, any chance she had. She also loved crocheting hats and blankets for her family, creating crafts with her mother, plants of all kinds, family poker, road trips with her family, admiring sunsets and earthing with her daughters and making fairy gardens for her grandchildren. She was always the happiest with a baby in her arms. Kenna had such an appreciation for life and the gifts we were given. Kenna was a faithful Christian , Always reminding her Children and Grandchildren to "give it to God" and taught them that although this world is not always easy, our rewards will be great in heaven. We know she is now receiving her rewards in heaven, because she gave so much of herself to others here on earth. She always said the best prayers during family functions and encouraged her children to remain strong within their faith. With her passing she took a piece of each of our hearts with her, and although we mourn our loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now reunited in Heaven with some of her favorite people, living an eternal life free from pain, illness, and suffering. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Mildred and Howard Trullinger paternal Grandparents Kenneth and Jonnie Anderson her beloved Aunt Cathy Hillard, her cousin Mathew Trullinger, her best friends Marsha & Bill Cole and the father of her children Thomas G.Taylor. She is survived by her husband and guardian angel Lloyd Steele. Her best friend and mother Virginia Anderson. Her loving and protective father Ken Anderson. Her soulmate, nurse, best friend and sister Shelley (Scott) Murphey and children Jon Jake CJ and Trace who had a special bond with their Nana. Her hero and brother Thomas Kent (Robina) Anderson and children Jacque, Tiffany, Corie, Jade, and Ethan. Her road trip companion, daughter and friend Andria (John) Mason and children Breeanna, Aubree, Katie, Isaac, and Asher. Her daughter Jennifer Taylor who was her one true ?person? who selflessly remained by her side through thick and thin and children Jesse, Joey, Tyson, and Tao. Her princess, WUS, Travel partner and daughter Tommi Taylor and children Tristen and babies. Her baby boy, hero, veteran and adoring son Nick Taylor and his son Nixon. Her loving uncles Tom, Greg, Hal, and Doug, and numerous cousins and friends. Her pampered cat "Miss Kitty? and wacky dog Pancho, who will live out their days being spoiled by her parents. She will be greatly missed by everyone. A celebration of life with be held at the Gaslight Social in Casper, WY on March 27th, 2022 from 1-4pm. Dead are Twila K. Brogan, 19, identified by the Nebraska State Patrol as the driver; Marlene F. Drullinger, 37, and Brenda Drullinger, 12, Marlene's daughter. Injured but in satisfactory condition later Saturday in a Cambridge, Neb., hospital were Richard Drullinger, 17, son of Mrs, Drullinger, and Lori Holm, 10, Colby, a friend of Brenda's. Young Drullinger suffered broken ribs; Lori suffered a broken arm. The Drullinger pickup was headed north, according to lawmen, when the driver apparently lost control. The vehicle came to a rest on the west side of the highway against an embankment. The dead were taken to an Arapahoe Neb., funeral home. Sharri attended the Methodist Church and rarely missed a service. She was a very special Lady and was loved by all who knew her. She will be missed. He had been an employee of the Pulaski Vance Co. here for over 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Marion Cecil Anderson, Dublin: one daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Brillheart, Dublin; one son, Olln P. Anderson, Jr., Dublin; one sister, MRS. E. E. Williams, Radford; and two brother, Claude J. Anderson, Pearisburg and Palmer B. Anderson, Roanoke, Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from Stevens Memorial Chapel with his pastor, the Rev. Dan. B. Kelly, officiating. Burial will follow in the Dublin Cemetery where Masonic graveside rites will be held. The body will remain at Stevens where friends may call.
