6959 | I19940 | Dauchy | Frances "Fanny" Julia | Sep 1863 | Apr 1889 | 0 | It appears that sloppy research plus poor record keeping have led several people to a brick wall. If one looks at what records have been found she is identified as Julia F. or J.F. yet her stone found on another tree wrongly Identifies her as Francis F. which is the male spelling of Frances. So who ever ordered the stone was semi literate at best or a total illerate. The stone carver then proceeded to carve the male spelling into the stone. What further complicates the matter is the use of initials rather than names. If we examine the three pieces of data closely we see the marriage entry, typed rather than written, contains the curious notation of application only. This leads one to believe there was no return of the application with a minister or Justice of the Peace notation the marriage was performed. In 1880 Julia was residing in Clackamas County in the heart of Trullingers. The only John that might fit is John Wesley Trullinger, son of Nathan Hale Trullinger. He is missing in the 1880 census but was married in 1875 in Marion County Oregon. Since we only have an initial J to work with why not James as in James Barton Trullinger? He also is missing in the 1880 census so we don't know his definite where abouts. We do know he married Nealie Rowland in Polk County to the west of Marion in 1881. Perhaps he was having some marital problems and decided to get together with Julia but only got the application knowing he was committing the crime of bigamy. So they weren't really married at all and after Julia died he went back to his wife. Gordon L. Drollinger 7 June 2017 Frances Dauchy (1866 - 1887) Born in Lenora, Fillmore, Minnesota, USA on Sep 1866 to C H Dauchey and Martha Ann Woodle. Frances married John Trullinger and had a child. Frances married Josiah S Howell and had a child. She passed away on Apr 1887 in Portland Multnomah, Oregon, USA. 6971 | I1575 | Daugherty | Lura Oliva | 18 Jun 1853 | 12 Jun 1912 | 0 | In spite of it being spelled "Laura" in her obituary, the true spelling of her first name is most likely 'Lura' because that is what is inscribed upon her large and no doubt expensive headstone as well as it also that way on her death certificate as provided by her husband, Burl. Additionally, the proper spelling of her middle is no doubt 'Oliva' (and not Olivia) because that is also the way it is inscribed upon her headstone. It would appear her parents named her that way in order to be deliberately different than the more standard spellings. In addition, she is listed as "Lura Oliva Daugherty" on her daughter, Jessie's marriage license with Claude Ross. (David H. Drollinger 12 Nov 2021) Brothers married sisters. Burl married Lura and George married Clara. |

6972 | I1575 | Daugherty | Lura Oliva | 18 Jun 1853 | 12 Jun 1912 | 0 | Kalispell, Mont.-- Mrs. Lura Oliva Drollinger died in this city June 12. The deceased was born in Ellensburg (sic), Wisc., June 18, 1853. She spent 25 years of her life in Missouri and six years ago came to Kalispell, where she has since made her home. She leaves a husband, a son, Clyde Drollinger, and two daughters, Mrs. Zela Shacklett and Mrs. Jessie Sickles. The Kalispell Journal (Montana) 24 June 1912 Laura Olivia Daugherty was born June 18, 1853, Ellenburo, Grant county, Wisconsin, and was married to Burl P. Drollinger in Keokuk, Iowa, March 15, 1876. Passed away Wednesday morning at 5:30 o'clock June 12. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and 3 children, also two brothers and one sister. She had been confined to her home for some months with heart trouble. All was done by loving hands that could be but of no avail. She fell asleep peacefully without a struggle. During her sickness she had often spoken of the end and said it was all well with her, and asked that the loved one left behind would meet her in the Great Beyond. Mrs. Drollinger was a good neighbor, true friend, a dear wife and a loving mother. She will be missed among her circle of friends. She is gone but not forgotten. The funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian church by Rev. T.A. Stacliffe after which the Rebeccas took charge of the body and she was laid to rest amidst a bed of flowers to await resurrection. Sleep, mother, sleep; take thy rest, God in His wisdom, knows it was best. --Written by one who loved her Montana, U.S., County Births and Deaths Name: Mrs Lula Olivia Drollinger Gender: Female Death Age: 58 Record Type: Death Birth Date: 18 Jun 1853 Birth Place: Wisconsin, USA Death Date: 12 Jun 1912 Death Place: Kalispell, Flathead, Montana, USA Father: Samuel Daugherty Mother: Phebe K Counterman Certificate Number: 60 Informant: B P Drollinger (husband) |
